Email Marketing Case Study: Ntradex

Ntradex is a fintech startup offering secure and seamless cross border transactions. As the Digital Marketing Lead, I was tasked with establishing and executing their email marketing infrastructure from scratch. The primary goal was to improve user onboarding, trigger personalized communication, and build long-term engagement through technical workflows and targeted content.


Problem / Goal

Before my involvement, Ntradex had no structured email strategy or automation setup. We needed to:

  • Build a foundational email infrastructure

  • Create segmented workflows for different user journeys

  • Automate time-sensitive actions (e.g., onboarding, KYC, transaction alerts)

  • Design branded, responsive newsletters

  • Improve retention and user trust through consistent communication


My Role

As the Digital Marketing Lead, I handled the full technical and creative execution:

  • Uploaded and cleaned contact lists using Google Sheets

  • Created behavior-based audience segments within Mailchimp

  • Wrote all email content and collaborated with a designer for layouts using figma and canva

  • Built and launched 6+ automation workflows in Mailchimp

  • Managed reporting, delivery, and campaign optimization

  • Maintained documentation of flows and email content using Google Docs


Strategy & Execution

We developed a structured email ecosystem that mirrored user activity across the platform:

  1. Onboarding Workflow

    • Triggered on signup

    • Introduced users to core features and security protocols

  2. KYC Reminders

    • Automated reminders for incomplete verification

    • Included helpful links and support contact

  3. Inactivity Flow

    • Re-engagement emails after 7 days of inactivity

    • Included tips and incentives to return

  4. Transaction Alerts

    • Real-time confirmations for trades, deposits, or withdrawals

  5. Educational Series

    • Weekly newsletters covering industry trends and how-tos

    • Designed to build trust and product fluency

  6. Security Alerts

    • Notifications of logins or security changes

    • Reinforced Ntradex’s commitment to user protection


Results & Impact

  • 6 core automation flows launched within 1 month
