Email Marketing Case Study: Circuits TV Website Launch Campaign
Circuits TV is Africa’s premier virtual cinema and streaming platform, focused on bringing blockbuster African films to a digital audience. As part of its go-to-market strategy, I led the end-to-end email marketing campaign that supported brand positioning, community building, and user acquisition.

My Role
As the email marketing strategist and copywriter, I was responsible for ideating, writing, and overseeing the rollout of the campaign. This included:
– Crafting high-converting subject lines and body copy
– Segmenting email lists based on user behavior and interest
– Coordinating with the design and development teams for template creation
– Analyzing open rates, click rates, and conversion metrics
Strategy & Execution
The campaign followed a three-phase structure using zoho campaigns.
1. Pre-Launch Warm-Up: A series of storytelling-driven emails introducing the concept of a ‘virtual cinema’ and showcasing the brand’s voice.
2. Launch Sequence: Feature highlights, trailers, testimonials, and clear CTAs driving users to join the waitlist.
3. Engagement + Retargeting: Reminders, exclusive content previews, and urgency-driven messaging to convert remaining prospects.
Results & Performance
– Total waitlist signups: 20,000+
– Average open rate: 38%
– Click-to-open rate (CTOR): 29%
– Most engaging email achieved a 51% open rate
– Feedback showed users felt the emails were both “cinematic” and informative
